Every spring, the Make-A-Wish Foundation® of New Jersey eagerly anticipates the most exciting night of the year, our Make-A-Wish Gala! This year is particularly special as 2008 marks a momentous 25 years of wish granting here in the Garden State! This wonderful accomplishment is surely an occasion to celebrate!
On this spectacular night, we will celebrate 25 years of hope, strength and joy. The Gala is comprised of a black-tie dinner, silent and live auctions, as well as plenty of dancing to the wonderful sounds of Tim McLoone and the Shirleys. Surely one highlight of the evening involves a testimonial from a wish child and family.
Other highlights from the night include the special awards we present annually to individuals and companies that have distinguished themselves in their service and support of our mission and the greater community.
This year our honorees include:
- Samuel J. Plumeri, Jr., Director of Public Safety/Superintendent of Police, Port Authority of New York and New Jersey - Humanitarian of the Year,
- David L. Flood, President, Sleep for Life/EOS, Inc., Somerset Medical Center - Kathleen H. Murray Award
- Jared Isaacman, Founder & CEO of United Bank Card, Inc. - President's Award
- New York Football Giants, Superbowl Champions - Special Presentation
